2024. Built Narratives have completed the design for a new three-bedroom home in Surrey set in an acre of gardens. The house, for a retired couple, has been designed to cater for the increasing needs over the next two decades. The master bedroom is on the ground floor with two additional bedrooms at first floor. The ground floor accommodation pivots around a central stair core, providing a flexible and inviting floor plan, with carefully considered routes and views into adjacent rooms. This allows a sense of openness, while the use of spaces is quite tightly and practically controlled. This has allowed us to be highly efficient with the size of the building while allowing it to feel generous and inviting.
